Children’s Home Manager

  • Annual Salary: £55,000 + £5k Welcome Bonus
  • Location: Hinckley, Leicester

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead our team at a children’s residential facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a 3-bed EBD home and leading successful Ofsted inspections. This role offers a significant opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Accountable for delivering high-quality care within the home, ensuring outstanding progress and care for the children.
  • Responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day management of the home.
  • Lead a team of professionals to provide therapeutic care and support, focusing on achieving the best outcomes for each child.
  • Act as a positive role model, developing trusting relationships that foster recovery, growth, and lasting change.
  • Oversee staff mentoring, work pattern organisation, and the facilitation of care-focused training up to QCF level 3.
  • Manage service development, budget, and financial performance of the home.
  • Ensure the protection, safeguarding, and promotion of the wellbeing of all children and young people in the home.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar environment at a Senior level.
  • Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Management qualification).
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and safeguarding procedures, including The Children Act 1989 and Children’s Home Regulations.
  • Experience in budget and financial management.
  • Fully committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.
  • Full driving licence is essential.
  • Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties.
