Our small and friendly residential home for young people aged 7-18 with challenging behaviours are seeking an experienced, dynamic and confident Deputy Manager to join us and really make a difference in our young people’s lives by providing them a haven where they can express themselves freely and enjoy a happy and stable home life, something every child deserves and needs.
The home is located in Westhoughton, Greater Manchester and can support up to 2 young people to gain confidence and independence as they navigate through childhood and transition into adulthood making lots of memories along the way. We follow a therapeutic approach within our homes for both our young people and valued team members, who will have access to our in house specialist therapist team.
Your role will be to support the Registered Manager to ensure the standards we have implemented are adhered to and the small team will benefit from your support and guidance daily, our homes collectively hold a ‘good’ or ’outstanding’ rating in respect of Ofsted ratings.
Ideally you will hold a Deputy post currently and can demonstrate excellent leadership skills and time management, we are also happy to hear from applicants with at least 2 years’ experience in a Children’s Residential home and ready to take the next step in their career, Good knowledge of the children’s care standards and good knowledge of Ofsted regulations would also be required.
Please note a minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent in residential care and a full UK driving licence are essential to be considered for this post,
The role is varied form day to day but will include staff supervisions, updating care plans, risk assessments and any other paperwork, organising the team to run the shift efficiently and ensuring all standards and legislation are kept up to date in line with company policy and the statement of purpose.
Initially the shift patterns will be up to 10 long days and sleep shifts per month ( 2 on 4 off pattern), the role will eventually progress to a more 9-5 position once the Manager is dual registered
Salary for the role will be up to £42,462 per annum, you will benefit from free meals on shift, access to our therapeutic services and many more extra perks
