Ty Caredig is a high-quality provider of children’s residential care.
The position of ‘bank worker’ enables successful candidates to work shifts in our homes based in Swansea, Bridgend, RCT, Cardiff and Newport. Bank workers are contracted to zero shifts each month but are able to pick up however many shifts fit their needs. Each shift is paid at £16/hr, meaning a day + a sleep in amounts to £296.
We prioritise creating enjoyable roles within positive environments in which staff are fully supported to deliver care that promotes the well-being of our young people.
We create nurturing and safe homes for our young people to develop their independence, confidence and well-being. We care for young people aged between seven and seventeen that can sometimes present challenging behaviour associated with traumatic backgrounds.
Our teams are thoroughly trained and equipped to provide therapeutic care, and all staff must be willing to work towards Level 3 Health & Social Care.
All staff must be willing and able to drive company cars to transport our young people to activities, free time and family contact. A full manual driving licence is therefore required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Encouraging positive engagements with activities e.g. sports, bowling, walking, exploring.
· Adopting a ‘Trauma informed’ therapeutic approach to nurture the development of our young people.
· Developing the Independent Living Skills of our young people.
· Carrying out household tasks.
· Supporting family contact.

Pay: £16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 72 per week
