RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER VACANCY – FREESLAND RISE CHILDREN’S HOME, PART OF HEXAGON CARE SERVICES
Job title: Residential Support Worker
Location: Nuneaton, Coventry
Home name: Freesland Rise, Ofsted rated Good Children’s Home
Salary: £26,350 (new to sector) to £30,050 (depending on other experience)
Earnings: £31,525 to £35,225 based on 10 sleep ins per month
Hours: 40.5 hours per week
Annual leave: 243 hours (6 weeks equivalent)
Shift Pattern: 1 shift on, 2 shifts off. Shifts start at 7:30am until 11pm followed by a sleep in at the home, finishing at 8am.
We are seeking to appoint a Residential Support Worker for one of our children’s homes in Nuneaton, Coventry. This Children’s Home is easily accessible from surrounding areas of Coventry.
Freesland Rise is a 2 bedded therapeutic service, with support from Hexagon’s own therapy team. Our psychologists work closely with young people and staff following an embedded therapy model to provided consistency in the care to the young people who reside here.
As a residential support worker, you will nurture and support the children and young people in your care, with all aspects of day-to-day tasks and activities. No two days are the same working in Residential Care for Children. If you enjoy working with children and possess the resilience to work with challenging behaviours having a nurturing and supportive approach to your practice, we want to hear from you! Full induction, training and support is provided by our in-house award-winning learning and development team, including the QCF level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
We aim to create a positive, relaxed home environment where the young people feel safe, supported & listened to. You will be inducted by our industry leading, award winning learning & development team, and guided in your role by more senior staff members, including psychologists/therapy team to establish appropriate boundaries, manage behaviours effectively and nurture the young people in your care towards positive futures.
