Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic individual to support children and young people in our Peterborough service. Our residents may face complex challenges, including social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
You’ll need to be flexible to work on a rota basis, including long day shifts (15 hours), occasional weekends, and overnight stays. Most importantly, you’ll be committed to being a consistent, positive presence in the lives of young people.

KEY ASPECTS OF THE ROLE:

  • Help guide young people in their learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing
  • Offer meaningful support that builds trust and creates a safe, stable environment
  • Assist with schoolwork, appointments, and personal development goals
  • Encourage fun and structured activities that promote positive behaviours
  • Act quickly and appropriately in response to any urgent or unexpected situations
  • Maintain a strong understanding of safety protocols and individual support plans
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with your team during handovers
