Description

OVERVIEW

At We Are Fun Scientists we motivate, inspire and entertain children through hands-on science fun. From bubbling potions to jaw-dropping experiments, our goal is to bring science to life with energy, creativity and the excitement of a live show.
We are looking for lively, confident presenters to join our team. You will lead after-school clubs, workshops, shows and themed parties for children aged 4 -12. A love of science is a bonus, but the real magic lies in your ability to perform, engage and command a room. If you can captivate an audience, spark curiosity, and keep young scientists hanging on your every word, we want to hear from you.
With Halloween and the festive season around the corner, there’s plenty of opportunity for training and shadowing before stepping into the spotlight. Attitude and social confidence are just as important as experience. We welcome people from all walks of life, whether you have taught in a classroom, performed on stage, or worked closely with children. Your experience could be a perfect fit.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A PVG is required for this role. If you do not already hold one, we will begin the application process straight away.
  • Confident presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to hold attention and keep children engaged.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, able to explain ideas clearly and with enthusiasm.
  • Experience working with children or in performance, education, or entertainment is highly valued.
  • A passion for motivating and inspiring children, with the energy and creativity to make sessions unforgettable.
  • Organised, reliable and able to work independently once training is complete.

SHOW US YOUR PERSONALITY

Due to the nature of this role, your personality and confidence on stage are just as important as your skills. We are looking for people who can bring energy, flair and showmanship to every session. To help us get to know the real you, we would love to see a short video (1–2 minutes) of you in action. This could be you speaking, singing, explaining something in a tutorial style, or absolutely anything that showcases your performative side. Be yourself, have fun and let your character shine through.
