JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Children’s Workers to join our team providing temporary and emergency support to Registered Children’s Homes and Children’s Supported Living sites across Newport. Great rates of pay up to £15.50 per hour day and night shifts available.

• Assist children with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive environment.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made.
• Drive to various locations as required for home visits or community activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.

SKILLS

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children and families.
• Experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with developing care plans that cater to individual needs.
• Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
• A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations.
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with children are essential for success in this role.
