No two days are the same in this dynamic environment. As a Residential Support Worker in Crediton, you’ll be instrumental in creating a safe, homely, and friendly culture where children and young people feel secure and cared for. You’ll take on increased responsibility in implementing care plans, managing complex situations, and acting as a mentor to less experienced staff. Your work will directly enable residents to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally, fostering their independence and well-being.Salary: £33,176 - £40,456 (inclusive of sleeps)

  • Role: Residential Support Worker
  • Location: Crediton
  • Responsibilities: Work with children and young people (aged 8-16) with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Key duties include:
  • Acting as a mentor to less experienced staff.
  • Creating a safe, homely, and friendly environment.
  • Managing challenging behaviors and de-escalating situations.
  • Ensuring the welfare and safety of residents.
  • Helping residents develop independence and life skills.
  • Collaborating with other professionals and families.
  • Work Schedule: This is a full-time, permanent position (40-hour week) with a shift pattern that includes sleep-ins (9 am to 10 pm, followed by a sleep-in, and then 7 am to 9 am).
  • Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or similar role.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Applicants must be over the age of 21.
  • Must have a QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
