JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Chilled Water Pipe Fitter to install, assemble, maintain, and repair piping systems used in chilled water applications in commercial and industrial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in reading mechanical drawings, using tools and equipment, and ensuring systems are leak-free and meet project specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum [3–5] years of experience as a chilled water pipe fitter in HVAC or mechanical systems.
  • ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Plumbing, or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in using tools and equipment specific to the trade.
  • Ability to work from mechanical plans and detailed shop drawings.
  • Strong understanding of pressure testing and flushing procedures.
  • Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret HVAC and piping layout drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Install, fit, and assemble chilled water piping systems including steel, copper, and PPR pipes.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, threading machines, and pipe-bending machines.
  • Secure pipes to structure supports using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
  • Ensure systems are properly insulated and pressure-tested as required.
  • Work with valves, fittings, and control systems.
  • Coordinate with other trades such as ducting and electrical to avoid conflicts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Follow safety standards and regulations during installation and maintenance.
  • Report daily progress to the site supervisor or foreman.
