The role Step into a pivotal role at Brompton, the global leader in urban mobility. As the market leader in China, Brompton is driving the future of how cities move and breathe. We are looking for a Retail Manager with visionary leadership to scale our Brompton stores and significantly influence our global strategy. Deliver against sales, profit and experience goals while executing global retail strategy and raising every door to the same Retail Excellence standard. Build a premium, client-centric service culture, ensure brand presentation and VM compliance are world-class, and provide close, proactive support to Franchise partners so they sell more, serve better, and represent Brompton consistently. Your efforts will help ensure that Brompton reaches its ambitious goal of increasing sales and broadening its market influence. Key Responsibilities · Orchestrate the ambitious growth of retail stores, elevating the retail experience and operational standards of existing stores to match Brompton’s global retail strategy. · Foster strong collaboration with our franchise partners to ensure seamless integration and brand consistency across new and existing outlets. · Embed Brompton’s core values of sustainability and community engagement into every facet of the retail operation, innovating ways to intertwine these elements with everyday business practices. · Executing global retail strategies with localized initiatives that cater to the unique needs and aspirations of urban Chinese consumers, ensuring a premium service model with benefit-led and client-centric service culture is consistently delivered among all stores. · Achieve and maintain VM compliance against global directives; ensure windows, adjacencies, zoning and brand storytelling are premium and consistent. · Manage and achieve comprehensive financial and performance strategies, setting new benchmarks for retail excellence and team development. · Provide inspirational leadership to a diverse team, nurturing a culture that values growth, innovation, and alignment with Brompton’s ambitious objectives. Recruit, coach and performance-manage store teams to build succession and a can-do, high-ownership culture. About You · At least 10 years of multi-store leadership experience in retail management, with substantial expertise in managing upscale, international retail operations within the premium lifestyle or luxury sectors. · Profound understanding of the Chinese market dynamics and consumer behaviour, capable of leveraging this insight to drive strategic retail initiatives. · Fluent in Mandarin and English, with stellar communication skills to lead diverse teams and interact with global stakeholders effectively. · Strong command in retail operations, VM standards, campaign execution and partner management, data-driven with solid P&L ownership. · Strategic and analytical thinker with a robust background in project management, adept at overseeing extensive retail networks and navigating market expansions. · High integrity; builds a positive, can-do culture and solves problems hands-on. · A true advocate for cycling and urban mobility, driven by a personal commitment to promoting sustainable and healthy city living.
