The Chinese Copywriter is responsible for producing, editing, and translating a range of communications in Chinese across digital and print touchpoints. This role requires the ability to combine strong writing craft with brand and product knowledge to deliver accurate, on-brand content, including, but not limited to, marketing emails, social media content, website copy, product brochures, owner communications, advertising campaigns, and resort operations materials. The role primarily covers Simplified Chinese content for the Mainland China market, with occasional support for Traditional Chinese content as needed. This role requires capability across all levels of copywriting, including original content creation, editing and repurposing of existing content, and translation from English to Chinese. This position contributes to maintaining brand and language quality on behalf of Chinese-speaking markets across all touchpoints and regions. Responsibilities: Translate, write, and edit Chinese copy across a range of formats and platforms, ensuring accuracy, natural language flow, and adherence to brand guidelines Support resort and property teams with Chinese copy for on-property and guest-facing materials, including menus, signage, guest directories, and other operational documents, ensuring consistency with brand language and tone Proofread and rewrite existing Chinese material against the English source to ensure accuracy of message, tone, and brand consistency Apply brand guidelines consistently and flag copy that may carry compliance or legal risk before submission Support content production for digital platforms, including, but not limited to, WeChat Official Account, WeChat Mini Program, and Xiaohongshu, working closely with designers and other team members to deliver content on time and to brief Collaborate with internal teams, including, but not limited to, sales, marketing, and business development to understand content requirements and deliver against briefs Support the team in ad hoc activities, including research, reporting, and other tasks as required Stay current on lifestyle, travel, and social media trends relevant to the Mainland China and broader Asian market Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Fluent in Simplified Chinese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages 2 to 3 years of experience in copywriting/content editing or translation Experience in the hospitality, travel, or lifestyle industry is preferred; timeshare or vacation club exposure is a plus but not required Familiarity with the Chinese digital ecosystem, particularly WeChat and Xiaohongshu; Douyin knowledge is an advantage Strong attention to detail with sensitivity to brand tone, language compliance, and cultural nuance Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Creativity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving Not the right fit?
