SUMMARY: The Assistant Venue Manager supports the daily operations of the restaurant and assists the Venue Manager in supervising staff and maintaining service standards within the assigned venue. This role helps promote excellent guest service by supporting and upholding the Coeur d’Alene Way Program. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist the Venue Manager in supervising restaurant operations, including helping with training programs, addressing personnel concerns, supporting scheduling, and participating in employee performance evaluations. • Work in any restaurant position as needed to support operations, including obtaining a food outlet bank and performing cashiering tasks. • Assist the Venue Manager and Area Food & Beverage Managers with budget-related tasks and venue fiscal oversight. • Maintain a visible presence on the restaurant floor throughout the shift to ensure smooth and efficient service. • Support compliance with health and fire regulations related to food preparation and service. • Help monitor payroll accuracy and report discrepancies. • Assist in investigating and resolving guest concerns regarding food quality or service. • Complete accurate daily reports when assigned. • Help ensure the venue complies with all Idaho State, county, local, and tribal liquor laws. • Correct POS ticketing errors and support staff with system issues. • Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned by the Venue Manager or Food & Beverage leadership. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • One to two years of experience in a full-service restaurant environment required; three years preferred. • One year supervisory or lead experience preferred, or ability to meet front-of-house manager service requirements. • Customer service experience required. • Interviewing and hiring experience preferred. • Alcohol ServSafe and Food ServSafe certifications preferred, or must successfully complete both during the next training cycle. • Must be 19 years of age or older. Skills/Knowledge: • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word preferred. • Strong cashiering skills required. • Ability to work effectively within a team environment. • Strong conflict-management and influencing skills. • Excellent multitasking, organization, and presentation abilities. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Effective problem-solving abilities. • Understanding of progressive discipline principles preferred. • Ability to coach, guide, and support team members.
