We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with industry leaders in a supportive and fast-paced environment with real career growth potential.
About the Role
As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in leading kitchen operations, maintaining high culinary standards, and mentoring junior team members. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day service, managing prep and production, and delivering exceptional food with consistency.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing kitchen operations and leading service
  • Maintain high food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff
  • Manage mise en place, prep and daily service
  • Assist with ordering, stock control, and cost management
  • Collaborate on menu development and seasonal changes
  • Uphold food safety and WHS compliance
  • Promote a positive and productive kitchen culture

About You

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience with Italian cuisine preferred; pasta-making a bonus
  • Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills
  • Calm under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for food and delivering great customer experiences
  • Professional, reliable and collaborative approach
  • Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays
  • Current working rights in Australia (working visa or residency)
  • English proficiency required; Italian language a plus but not essential
