JOB DESCRIPTION:

Flood Chiropractic is a patient focused, dynamic, fast paced, busy chiropractic wellness practice located in Tecumseh, ON that has been serving Windsor-Essex and area families and residents from newborn to well into their nineties for the last 25 years. While the majority of our patients seek our care for wellness and preventive purposes, many more are helped with severe and complicated health issues.
We utilize corrective chiropractic care techniques that incorporate regular chiropractic care and progress assessments for our patients. Holistically, we value the roles of lifestyle, nutrition, exercise, personal education, and overall wellbeing in the healing process.
In this position, you will interact with hundreds of people who are striving to regain, achieve, or maintain optimum health, naturally.

Every team member in our office plays a vital role in our patients’ care. Some of your objectives will include:

  • Setting a positive tone for patients’ experiences in the office.
  • Coordinating daily and weekly tasks necessary for office operations, quality patient care and education.
  • Ensuring quality service to new and to long-term patients.
  • Supporting the patients and your co-workers during peak hours of patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail with strong proofreading abilities to ensure accurate work, documentation and timely production of required work.
  • Proficient in office administration, including clerical duties and front desk operations and efficient workflow
  • Bring a high energy, eager to engage with out patients and have a bright and welcoming disposition
  • Managing patient care processes, ensuring that all treatment plans are communicated effectively and executed smoothly
  • POS software
  • Strong initiative and ownership over your work
  • Ability to work independently and self-direct
  • Proactive and ability to identify what needs to be done without being told
  • Ability to interact with patients/clients in a confident and professional manner
  • Excellent phone etiquette with strong verbal communication skills to interact professionally with patients and team members
  • Familiarity with filing systems and healthcare office procedures

2+ years experience in a chiropractic office or healthcare office required. Chiropractic care (as a regular patient) an asset. A proven interest in holistic health care and/or personal well-being will benefit your application. You must enjoy working with people.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Front desk operations and reception responsibilities
  • Acknowledge and greet patients warmly upon arrival/departure and process patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments and management of schedule and booking via The Better System
  • Patient communications in person, via telephone and email, when required;
  • Answer phones and make outgoing calls effectively to schedule, reschedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Patient recalls
  • Patient correspondence, patient education and retail sales
  • Manage and follow up on patient accounts
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately into The Better System and other office systems, maintaining accurate up-to-date patient records, ensure all related documentation & forms are properly signed in complacence with governing body and healthcare regulations
  • Provide knowledgeable, professional and friendly customer service experience for all patients & visitors to the office
  • Orchestrate the patient office visit from beginning to end
  • Get adjusting tables ready for patients and ensure supplies are stocked
  • Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned and not limited to; organizing and managing patient flow, accompanying patient to treatment area or exam room
  • Collect payment for chiropractic services and nutritional products
  • Product inventory management
  • Patient care program management
  • Obtains, verifies, and updates patient information
  • Maintains patient confidentiality; Maintains confidential medical history files
  • Explain policies to new patients
  • Chart management and daily preparation of patient charts for the day’s appointments
  • Composition and preparation of letters and office documents, utilizing proper language, grammar and punctuation
  • Patient charting and documentation
  • The position requires the ability to establish exceptional rapport with our patients and team members
  • Communicating to the doctor patient questions, concerns and requests accurately and promptly
  • Fax/Scan documents/Photocopying/Email
  • Light cleaning, organization and housekeeping as required. Ensure all areas are clean and tidy at al time-
  • Properly open and close clinic as needed following standards and protocol
