QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or certificate from a recognized Culinary Arts program preferred; kitchen experience an asset
  • Able to maintain a high standard of quality and commitment to meet or exceed expectations
  • Display a strong attention to detail, and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent organizational, time management and decision-making skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations in a calm and professional manner

Responsibilities
  • Working directly with chocolate in various capacities.
  • Food preparation (making caramel, ganache, fruit purees).
  • Cleaning and preparing molds and trays for production.
  • Assisting with managing production inventory by receiving products, taking inventory, and putting into storage, as well as notifying the office staff when items need to be re-ordered.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized space, following proper cleaning and sanitation procedures. This will include washing dishes, trays, counters, equipment (fridge, microwave, chocolate machines, heat guns), walls (if needed), floors (including scraping, sweeping and washing) and taking the garbage out.
  • Helping maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the facility according to AHS guidelines with strict adherence to the industry defined cleaning schedule.
  • Occasional support for the packaging and retail staff may be requested, to perform tasks such as packaging products for storage, packaging products for sale, and packaging orders for shipping, and providing retail support.
