Our organization, a specialty bakery and pastry factory with multiple locations in Djibouti, is seeking a skilled professional with extensive experience in pastry and chocolate production to oversee the measurement, mixing, cooking, and creation of our pastry and chocolate offerings.
Ideal candidate is interested and willing to assist in all facets of crafting high quality Gelato, Pastries and Chocolate. Must be clean, responsible, and very hard working. In addition, the ability to juggle many tasks and produce large quantities of product is critical. The incumbent must possess the ability to work as part of a team and independently with focus and dedication to the job. This is a professional kitchen and we expect professionalism from all of our employees.

• Create various pastries and chocolate products, including truffles, pralines, bars, bonbons, and decorative items.
• Temper chocolate to achieve the right texture, gloss, and snap.
• Develop new pastry and chocolate recipes and customize flavors to meet market trends or customer demands.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
• Design and decorate chocolates using molds, piping techniques, or artistic designs.
• Operate and maintain machinery such as chocolate tempering machines and molds.
• Manage stock levels for raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
• Minimize waste while optimizing production efficiency.
• Familiar with all baking process for pastries.
• Maintain the chocolate-making equipment and all ingredients involved in chocolate production to be up to standard, including cleaning and sterilizing the equipment, properly storing the ingredients, and maintaining accurate records of production and ingredient usage.
