Description DEPARTMENT : RETAIL STORE JOB DURATION: Tentative Nov 15 to Dec 15 BONUS: Perfect attendance is required to earn the bonus. Bonus will be paid & pro-rated based on hire & end date, payable at the end of the season. JOB SUMMARY Assist customers with selecting merchandise, safely prepare and load customer's purchases into their vehicle. Perform tree warehouse maintenance duties and other tasks as assigned. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assist customers with selecting trees. Stock trees. Work safely and efficiently to provide excellent customer service. Haul tree(s) to customer’s vehicle. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Other Duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED. Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIIES Must be 18 years of age. Must be organized and able to prioritize work. Good customer service skills are essential. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift 50 lbs safely and often daily. Requires lifting, bending, standing or walking on a hard surface for long periods. Must be able to lift arms overhead and move arms from side to side. Must be able to work with spruce and noble trees in a closed environment. Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments, in all temperatures. WORKING RELATIONSHIP This position requires frequent customer contact. The successful candidate will have a positive, professional and safe attitude at all times. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED (Safety vest, hardhat, safety glasses are provided) Warm clothing Work boots with steel or composite toes and thick soles Gloves, warm hat Candidates must be able to pass a thorough background and criminal record check.
