Description
Establish/strengthen global supplier relationships, enabling Ford to better align with and influence supplier technology roadmaps for Pumps Understand upcoming program sourcing and key milestone in support of launch. Lead process to source on time and satisfy program targets, including working closely with PD to develop forward model cost targets. Drive/ lead Best Cost at J1, both through initial sourcing and design changes Lead design competitions and market tests. Provide feedback to valued supply partners on cost position relative to market to build effective long-term, productive relationships. Support future Program Workshops - identify opportunities to achieve vehicle competitive pricing. Manage Supplier emerging significant issues (supply issues, Quality, Cost, etc.) and drive internal risk mitigation. Co-lead and develop together with PD commodity strategies, along with deployment of strategy for ICE to BEV migration. Application of category management skill set to optimize the commodity and sourcing strategy. Lead for commodity knowledge and market intelligence including cost, bill of process, etc. Lead TVM activities (NA and global lead/coordination) including objective setting and delivery. Lead Program sourcing activities (Sourcing Contract) Lead sourcing strategy development and execution. Lead strategic initiatives including Gap Week, Cost Strategy Week, QCDR/QBR Quarterly Meetings. Lead cross-functional interface (PD/Finance/STA). Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance or other related field of study 3+ years of purchasing/supply chain experience Strong analytical skills (sourcing evaluations, business case studies) Strong negotiation skills (creating leverage in both offensive and defensive situations) Cost analytics (understand commodity cost drivers, part cost breakdowns, Gap-to-OCE) Strong working knowledge of Purchasing policies, procedures, and systems Fully competent with Microsoft Office Tools Ability to travel on company business as require MBA preferred Strong business and commercial acumen and excellent written and verbal abilities. Strong leadership skills and ability to work in teams. Strong interpersonal skills including relationship building and working cross functionally. Strategic mindset and the ability to understand current challenges facing the automotive industry
