Your Skills & Abilities:( Required Qualifications):

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing-related field
• Proven ability to lead teams, solve complex problems, and manage multiple projects independently.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and strategic planning.
• Proficiency in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, PM&C, and downtime reporting systems.
• Experience with multi-site or multi-department manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of LMS principles and industrial engineering practices.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time or higher based on business needs.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) :

• Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing-related field
• Plant floor and leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Opex/CI problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience with Workday and Kronos timekeeping systems.
• Understanding of Throughput Improvement Processes (TIP).

THE ROLE:

Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). Possess the ability to deal with complex problems. Supervise a small group of salaried employees involved in multiple departments/processes. May manage across multiple shifts.
The RESS CI & Launch Manager provides strategic leadership and direction to ensure the successful execution of manufacturing processes within the Rechargeable Energy Storage System (RESS) organization. This role is responsible for developing and implementing new processes, standards, and operational plans that align with organizational goals and have a direct impact on business outcomes. The ideal candidate will influence cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement, and champion GM’s values with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
