Responsibilities

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Control Management Officer within the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Control Team, which is responsible for the implementation and management of the First Line of Defense risk program requirements. Within CIB Control, this position resides on the Shared Services Control team and will focus on financial reporting and all other data related control support activities.
Crucial to this role is a detailed understanding of data governance standards, risk programs, risk mitigation, and a solid understanding of controls, particularly for CIB products and services. The role will support global business leadership and COO teams across CIB and will also work closely with CIB business-aligned control coverage teams.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee FRY 14, 2052a, BCBS 239 and other financial reporting program control testing (design and performance testing and manage process. A separate team of testers will do testing.
  • Facilitate workshops and drive decisions requiring solid understanding of business processes and data governance standards
  • Work with business and technology partners or subject matter professionals to document or maintain business or technical metadata about systems, business or data elements, or data-related controls
  • Lead control assessments and perform walkthroughs of controls with control owners to identify control design and performance deficiencies
  • Monitor and report progress as well as substantiate control remediation plans are occurring within required timelines
