Description JOB SUMMARY The Controlled Substance Processor will spend his/her day counting and entering products into a database, sorting, packaging products by manufacturer and preparing customer invoices/return paperwork. The CS Processor will also assist in preparing outgoing DEA order forms, pulling product for shipment, and other department related duties and may be called on to aid in processing duties for the production department. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform customer return/inventory activities of controlled substances and production departments. Inventory activities include physical counts, reconciliation and appropriate reporting per established timelines. Verify item counts and product information Generate internal and customer paperwork Preparation of DEA Form 222 Pick, pull, and package products for shipment Perform Quality functions Follow established procedures and SOPs Filling Maintain a clean and safe work area Other related duties as assigned by Management or Supervisor Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred, not required) 2-5 years of experience in a pharmacy (preferred, not required) Knowledge of Brand/Generic Drugs, including controlled substances Ability to scan and read NDC/UPC numbers, Lot #, and Exp. Dates Ability to determine master cases and Inner packs Must be able to perform cycle counts and understand the processes of inventory reconciliation Excellent organizational skills and attention to details Must be computer literate in MS Office Must be dependable, reliable, and able to follow directions Good oral with excellent written communication skills Ability to function, with a positive attitude, in a high-performance team environment Must be able to work weekends and overtime with advance notice Must have clean background and pass drug screen HS diploma, Associate’s Degree is preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to stand, walk, reach and bend for up to 8 hours a day, with breaks. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Assistance is available upon request for lifting packages that exceed 40 lbs. or that are in unstable condition. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
