ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a senior CIPD professional to take on the role of CIPD Course Lead (level 7). Reporting to the Product & Operations Director, this role combines advanced teaching expertise with strategic programme leadership.
You will deliver high-quality live online classes and provide academic and pastoral support to learners on the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma. You’ll be working with experienced HR practitioners who expect depth, challenge, and real-world application – and your role will be to guide them through the complexities of strategic people practice, leadership, and evidence-based decision-making.
As Course Lead, you will oversee the delivery, quality, and continuous improvement of our Level 7 provision. You will manage a team of experienced tutors, contribute to programme strategy and design, and ensure that our offering remains aligned with the CIPD Profession Map and evolving industry demands, including the impact of AI and emerging technologies on the profession.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys engaging deeply with both learners and content, while also shaping the future of our Level 7 qualification.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will be accountable for:

  • Delivering engaging and academically rigorous live sessions (daytime and evening) aligned to CIPD Level 7 learning outcomes
  • Supporting learners to apply strategic HR concepts, models, and research to complex workplace challenges
  • Providing in-depth academic guidance and critical feedback to support reflective, evidence-based practice
  • Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records to ensure timely interventions
  • Managing cohorts with professionalism and empathy, supporting their success through structured check-ins and tailored communications
  • Leading monthly progress reviews and contributing to internal quality assurance processes
  • Responding to learner queries on the Learning Hub and in group forums, fostering a collaborative learning environment
  • Sending regular cohort communications to maintain engagement and momentum
  • Being accountable for pass rates, progression, and completion at Level 7
  • Participating in standardisation and moderation activities to uphold assessment integrity
  • Marking submissions and resubmissions in line with CIPD criteria, providing high-quality developmental feedback
  • Ensuring compliance with all Avado policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, safeguarding, EQA)
  • Maintaining your own CPD to stay current with evolving HR practice, academic trends, and learning technologies
