POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Cisco Engineer to join our IT team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure and efficient network infrastructures using Cisco technologies. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Cisco Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Configuration & Management: Proven ability to configure, deploy, and manage Cisco infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-resolution skills in complex network environments.
  • Security Knowledge: Understanding of Cisco security solutions and best practices.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications (preferred): Cisco CCNA/CCNP (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities
  • Network Design & Implementation – Design and implement Cisco-based network solutions including routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Configuration & Management – Configure, manage, and optimize Cisco devices to ensure high network performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting & Resolution – Diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and configuration issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring & Performance Analysis – Utilize monitoring tools to proactively assess and improve network health and efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to align network solutions with organizational needs.
  • Documentation & Training – Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations and provide training or knowledge transfer to IT staff.
  • Network Security – Implement and enforce Cisco security policies and best practices to safeguard data and systems.
  • Continuous Learning – Stay updated on emerging Cisco technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation.
