Master Crisis Intervention Trainer
The Master Crisis Intervention Trainer is responsible for delivering specialized training programs focused on crisis intervention strategies. The trainer works to equip professionals—such as law enforcement officers, mental health workers, and community members—with skills to de-escalate high-stress situations, respond effectively to mental health crises, and provide immediate support to individuals in distress. The trainer ensures that participants can apply evidence-based techniques in real-world settings to reduce harm and support individuals experiencing crises.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, criminal justice, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in crisis intervention, mental health services, or emergency response training.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Certification in crisis intervention techniques (e.g., CIT, Mental Health First Aid) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, de-escalation strategies, and mental health support.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Hybrid – Remote, in-office or on location. The role may require travel to various locations to conduct training sessions and may involve some evening or weekend hours depending on training schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive crisis intervention training programs tailored to various audiences, including first responders, healthcare providers, educators, and community organizations.
  • Instruct participants on de-escalation techniques, mental health crisis response, trauma-informed care, and effective communication in crisis situations.
  • Provide ongoing education on current trends and best practices in mental health, crisis intervention, and public safety.
  • Assess participants’ learning outcomes and provide feedback to ensure understanding and skill mastery.
  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership to customize training sessions based on specific needs, situations, or organizational goals.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of state and federal regulations, crisis intervention models (e.g., Crisis Intervention Team [CIT] training), and related certifications.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements for enhanced delivery and outcomes.
