Description
CITMA Qualified Trade Mark Paralegal Full time and fully remote Salary £30-£35,000 About Us Our specialist Trade Mark department supports a diverse portfolio of clients, and we are looking for an experienced, CITMA qualified Trade Mark Paralegal to play a central role in our journey. The Role You’ll work closely with the solicitors and Trade Mark attorneys in the Trade Mark Team as well as the IP team to deliver high-quality trade mark portfolio management for a range of clients. We are seeking someone who can work autonomously, contribute to process development, and confidently interact with both clients and agents. Key Responsibilities · Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of UK, EU, and international Trade Mark portfolios. · Prepare and file UKIPO and WIPO applications and manage subsequent correspondence, renewals and records. · Draft, file and track responses to official correspondence including examiner’s reports and office actions. · Liaise directly with clients and overseas agents on instructions, process updates, and strategic portfolio advice, all with a client-centric approach. · Conduct and report on basic and advanced Trade Mark searches. · Monitor deadlines, ensuring all cases are proactively managed using our Trade Mark management system (Equinox experience desirable). · Prepare comprehensive client status reports and keep accurate portfolio records. · Support solicitors and Trade Mark attorneys in contentious matters: oppositions, invalidations, and cancellations at the UKIPO. · Contribute to the gradual enhancement and development of internal systems, processes, and client care standards. · Participate in team discussions around ways of working, suggesting improvements and helping embed best practices. What we are looking for We are looking for someone who is: · CITMA Qualified, ideally with substantive experience in a UK-based practice. · Proactive and Autonomous, demonstrates initiative and enjoys ownership and the ability to shape workflows. · Experienced, confident managing trade mark files, correspondence with registries, and direct client contact with professionalism. · Detail-Oriented and Organised with exceptional attention to detail, able to independently prioritise and manage deadlines across complex, high-volume caseloads. · Tech-Savvy, skilled in using Trade Mark portfolio management software (Equinox or similar). · Client-Focused Communicator, excellent written and verbal English; approachable in client and agent interactions. · Team Player, collaborative approach, ready to help refine and build our department, not just maintain it. · Process-Oriented, interested in reviewing and enhancing internal procedures and client care. The bottom line · An opportunity to play an important part in the next phase of growth for a law firm leading innovation within legal services. · An environment with no politics, no bureaucracy, working with a passionate, supportive and dedicated team who all play a fundamental part in the success and continued growth of the business. · 33 days holiday, including public holidays. · Option to buy up to 5 holiday days a year. · Private Healthcare · Death in service benefit. · Access to our electric car scheme · Discounted gym memberships, access to retailer discounts, team socials and more!
