Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil 3D Designer in one of the below locations. Candidates will work with the Energy & Utilities team in the drafting, design, permitting and construction administration of industrial projects. The focus will primarily be in oil & gas, wind, solar and utility projects.
Posting Location(s) for this role: Greenwood Village, CO (Denver), Lisle, IL (Chicago); Indianapolis, IN; St. Louis, MO; Charlotte, NC; and Frisco, TX (Dallas)

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Associates or Technical Degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design, or similar field
  • 5-10 years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to design and prepare construction drawings.
  • Flexibility to perform design, drafting and recognize the importance of meeting stringent deadlines in an often fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively plan & manage time commitments on multiple concurrent projects
  • Candidate should be team-oriented, highly motivated with a strong work ethic, and have the ability to work well with minimal direction
  • Strong understanding of CAD standards, features and annotation styles, line styles, and drawing setup.
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of project team members

DESIRED EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

  • Oil & Gas or renewable energy industry experience
  • MicroStation experience
  • Experience processing survey data
  • Experience processing lidar scan data and point clouds
  • Bluebeam
  • Industrial mechanical piping experience
