We are seeking a Junior Civil CAD Technologist to join our team.
Our team regularly collaborates on projects across North America. The successful candidate should be comfortable working and collaborating on a variety of different projects with team members across North America.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player that is excited about taking on a new challenge. While the successful candidate will be based in our Winnipeg, MB office. We do offer flexible hybrid work from home/office arrangements.
Your Responsibilities as a Junior Civil CAD Technologist:

Using your knowledge of drafting practices and CAD platforms you will work closely with other CAD Technician / Technologists, engineers, and senior designers to complete the following tasks:

  • Prepare engineering drawings for municipal, commercial, and industrial projects with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Prepare plan, profile, grading, surface design for water, storm, wastewater piping, and roadways design from concept to final, ensuring reviewer comments received are corrected and addressed.
  • Prepare presentation graphics and report figures.
  • Coordinate project drawings with project managers, technical staff, and others.
  • Complete model reviews and collaborate with other technical disciplines.
  • Ensure that the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
  • Understand and adhere to Stantec and client standards.

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • A Civil Engineering Technology Diploma.
  • Experience and familiarity with municipal, urban development and water resources disciplines and/or an education background in these areas.
  • Minimum 0 – 2 years of experience. This is an entry level / new graduate position. Previous summer/intern experience and a comprehensive knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D would be considered an asset.
  • Effective communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Highly organized, have significant attention to detail, able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite including Word, and Excel.
  • Government of Canada and RCMP Security Clearances considered an asset.
  • Experience in following considered an asset:
  • Topographic and as-built surveys
  • Construction Supervision
  • Civil 3D
  • Autodesk BIM 360 and ProjectWise
  • Autodesk Recap
  • AutoTurn or Vehicle tracking
  • Microsoft Teams
