QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in civil construction
  • Experience in pipelaying or a related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction and pipelaying techniques
  • Excellent attitude, communication and teamwork skills, flexible, and open to change
  • Ability to determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job
  • An understanding of safe work practices
  • The strength, stamina, and ability to use proper lifting techniques to lift and carry items weighing more than 50 pounds. Good muscular coordination, agility and balance

Responsibilities
  • Lay and join pipes for water and sewer systems, ensuring they are laid to the specified depth and gradient.
  • Cut, place and install sewer and water pipes to specified grades accurately
  • Measure and cut material
  • Basic equipment operation
  • Handle and transport job materials to the work areas
  • Assist in site preparation and clean-up before and after pipe installation processes.
  • All other labour duties as required and assigned by supervisor
