Civil Construction Manager Victoria, Australia Freyssinet Australia is seeking an experienced and driven Construction Manager to join our growing Civil team in Victoria. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing Project Manager or Senior Engineer ready to step into a state-level role, overseeing a portfolio of complex infrastructure projects. About the Role Reporting directly to the National Civil Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects valued between $5M – $30M across Victoria. You will provide leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and profitably. This role offers the opportunity to move beyond single-project delivery and take ownership of multi-project performance, while mentoring and developing teams across the business. Key Responsibilities Lead and support Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams across multiple projects Drive performance across safety, programme, quality, and commercial outcomes Forecast and optimise labour resourcing across projects Ensure effective project planning and timely delivery in line with programmes Oversee monthly reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking Manage contract administration, including risk and opportunity identification Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin management Strong understanding of contractual risk and commercial drivers Support subcontractor procurement and supplier engagement Build and maintain strong client relationships Ensure compliance with company systems, processes, and safety standards Provide leadership on Industrial Relations matters where required About You You are an established civil professional with strong technical capability and the ambition to take the next step into a multi-project leadership role for the state. Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or similar) 7–10+ years’ experience delivering civil infrastructure projects Proven experience on projects valued between $5M – $30M Strong background in specialised bridge construction Knowledge of complex methodologies such as post-tensioning, precast, or heavy lifting (desirable) Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams Strong commercial and financial acumen Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment High energy and drive to succeed Why Join Freyssinet?
