Northern Machinery Sales is a locally owned and run civil construction company based on the outskirts of Katherine, delivering reliable machinery, skilled operators, and practical solutions tailored to the needs of the Northern Territory

Positions:

Northern Machinery is currently seeking civil construction workers for upcoming projects in the Northern Territory

  • Road Train Drivers (MC Licence)
  • Side Tipper Operators (MC Licence)
  • Water Cart Operators (HR Licence)
  • Excavator Operators
  • Grader Operators (C Licence)
  • Grader Operators - Maintenance (C Licence)

What's on offer:

3 weeks on, 1 week off roster

11-hour shifts, day shift only

You’ll stay in a combination of hotels, roadhouses, and remote construction camps

All meals and accommodation are supplied while you’re on roster and working away from your point of hire

Although we prioritise local and Territory‑based DIDO workers, we can offer FIFO packages, with flights and transfers included, for suitably qualified candidates

You will get the opportunity for ongoing work and a competitive rate of pay

  • Kinvara Civil is a Sydney-based civil construction company delivering high-quality infrastructure and utility projects across New South Wales. We specialise in complex excavations, water, sewer, stormwater and underground utility infrastructure, with extensive experience delivering works to Sydney Water standards and specifications.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project management.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling and coordination of works.
  • Ensure works are carried out in accordance with project drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
  • Assist with site documentation, reporting and project records.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working on civil construction projects, with Sydney/NSW experience preferred.
  • Experience in water, sewer, drainage or underground utility projects is highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and site processes.
  • Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both on site and as part of a project team.
