Representing the company as a Civil and Structural expert in the weekly meetings and workshops Reviewing project Structural calculations, Geotechnical/ Hydrological/ Corrosion studies and overall Civil design for solar PV plants. Review and check the conformity of the technical specifications for all materials comparing to the Owner technical specifications and the local/international standards. Reviewing vendor engineering documents packages for what related to structural and civil part of the plant Reviewing all the buildings civil and architects designs (Substation building, Foundations, Fence, Roads, O&M building,..etc). Concluding the comments and the recommended status of the engineering submittal in a comment resolution sheet as per the company quality standards. Reviewing the testing procedures and results for the PV Solar plant from Civil/Structural point of view. Providing the required Design Review and technical advisory for the Civil, Structural and Geotechnical discipline for the RE projects. Representing the TCPU in the meeting and the workshops in front of the clients, EPCs, OEMs, for what related to the Civil, Structural and Geotechnical discipline. Representing the TCPU and providing the needed support in the tenders related to civil and structural engineering, especially for the RE tenders. Support the Engineering manager in taking the decisions related to the Civil, the Civil, Structural and Geotechnical discipline. Provide the needed Civil the Civil and Structural technical inputs in the Risk Assessments, RCAs, Inspection reports review, Vendors pre-qualifications, Quality documents review, T&C ITPs and plans review, studies results review, in all TCPU projects, Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. +10 Years of technical experience in mega scale PV Solar projects. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, Structural analysis software. Highly skilled in ASTM standards and International structural loads standards. Proficient in English; written and spoken. Project management / certificates is a plus. On-site supervision experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Civil Design Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and summarizing project technical requirements, ensuring compliance with specifications, and providing technical advisory for civil, structural, and geotechnical disciplines. They will represent the company in meetings and workshops, and support the Engineering manager in decision-making.
