Every day, we’re all part of something bigger. About the role EIC Activities is now looking across Australia for a Civil Designer to join our team based in Melbourne or Sydney or Brisbane. As part of the team you will provide a competitive advantage for profitable projects that generate value for clients, leverage the CIMIC Group’s collective experience, technical capabilities and leading technologies. The Civil Designer develops detailed geometry design solutions to support the delivery of projects across the CIMIC Group. The role contributes to developing efficient and cost‑effective civil design solutions, ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with project requirements. Key responsibilities include producing design models complying with project metadata requirements, validation and checks, producing material estimates, and supporting the delivery of high-quality engineering drawings and deliverables to support CIMIC Groups 3D and 4D modelling, construction visualisation and planning services. In this role you will: • Deliver Civil Engineering design services across a range of projects and infrastructure types, including traditional transport infrastructure projects (road, rail, aviation, tunnels, active transport) and the Renewable Systems Technology sector • Support bid and project deliverables, including models, drawings and documentation • Comply with EIC Activities Safety and Health Management Plan and Quality Manual. About you You will inspire your team to achieve, draw on their diverse skills and create environments where great ideas are heard, and everyone looks out for one another. Ideally you will have the following: * Awareness of BIM standards for the organisation of digital information within CDE’s and in accordance with ISO 19650. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D or 12d to generate geometric designs and earthworks models. * Advantageous experience: * Autodesk Infraworks and Navisworks. * Dynamo for Civil 3D or equivalent automation processes. GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS. * Fundamentals of drainage design. * Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Drafting, or equivalent * Minimum 5-years' experience as a civil designer or equivalent.
