We are looking for a Civil Designer to join our Engineering Department.
Responsibilities:
· Utilize Civil 3D to create 3D models to produce layout and detail design drawings following project-specific drawing standards for various industrial projects focusing on civil, earthworks, grading, pond, ditch, and road design
· Produce 2D construction drawing for civil earthworks and support construction with RFI responses
· Assist in material takeoffs using 3D models
· Process and interpret topographic field survey data, survey field notes, LiDAR Data, using different coordinate systems
· Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects within allotted schedules and deadlines
· Interact regularly with other disciplines and divisions within COOEC
· Generation from IFD’s of following products:
- 3D Model Development - Civil (2FTEs)
- Access road sections and details (Incl. Culverts, signage, etc.)
- Access road Key plan
- Access road plan and profile
- Access road IFC MTO
- Well pad final grade section and details
- Well pad final grade IFC MTO
- Well pad final grade plan
- Flowline section and details
- Flowline Plan and profile
- Flowline key plan
- Flowline IFC MTO
- Civil design for a one L-100 Bridge
Requirements:
· 5-10 years experience on Civil (Earthworks) designs
· Experience in SAGD Well Pad Facilities
· 5+ years of relevant experience using Civil 3D, preferably on industrial and/or SAGD Well Pad projects
· Experience with Bluebeam Revu, MicroStation, Autodesk ReCap, Arc GIS or other GIS software, and/or Autodesk Navisworks is an asset
· Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; able to mentor and work with junior designers
· Technical competence, good organization skills and strong attention to detail
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
