Keller Developments is seeking a Civil Designer to join our growing dynamic team. The incumbent will work directly with project managers, trades, and senior technologists to assist in the creation of drawings and the execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed concept drawings, site plans, landscaping plans, elevation plans, drainage plans, and other required details for sites (primarily using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D or related applications)
• Collaborate with surveyors and access databases to utilize geospatial/ elevation data ; assist in the establishment and maintenance of project control points
• Collaborate with project team members to ensure alignment to project specifications and completion of permitting requirements
• Assist in calculating site grade checks and quantity takeoffs for site work

Qualifications

• Familiarity with creating, editing, and converting DWG, CSV and other related file types
• Experience working with Triangular irregular networks (TIN) surfaces is considered an asset
• Attendance or graduation from a post-secondary program such as Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or similar is considered an asset
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D or similar programs is considered an asset
• Experience in construction layout is considered an asset

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong technological aptitude
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles and practices
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in an organized manner
• Ability to work independently as well as within larger teams
• A valid Class 5 drivers license and reliable vehicle

Conditions

• Ability to carry, lift and push up to 50lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
