V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Civil Designer in our Woodridge, IL office, where you will contribute to career-defining projects that reimagine our built and natural world. And, as part of our Floodplains and Stormwater Management team, you will collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America. Here's what you'll do: * Perform civil design and technical analysis related to floodplain and floodway studies, stormwater management, and drainage design. * Assist with the preparation of engineering reports, drainage studies, and watershed analyses. * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other design disciplines to support project delivery. * Review plans and data for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. * Mentor or provide technical guidance to junior designers as appropriate to experience level. We're looking for: * 3-6 years of related experience, ideally focused on floodplain, stormwater, or water resources projects. * Working knowledge of ArcGIS and Civil 3D. * Strong client service orientation. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
