Civil Engineer | Commercial Development Projects | Inner Melbourne

I'm proud to be representing a highly respected and long-established civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Melbourne's inner suburbs, who are looking to add one or two Civil Engineers to their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy the civil design aspects of commercial building developments, working on a diverse portfolio of retail, industrial and commercial projects from concept through to construction.

The Role

Working closely with experienced civil and structural engineers, you'll be responsible for the design and documentation of civil works associated with commercial developments, including:

• Car park layouts and grading
• Stormwater drainage design
• Earthworks and finished surface levels
• Pavement design
• Vehicle access roads and hardstand areas
• Civil documentation and authority coordination
• Liaising with architects, structural engineers and project stakeholders

About You

To be successful, you'll bring:

• Proven experience within an Australian civil engineering consultancy
• Experience delivering civil works for commercial, retail and/or industrial developments
• Strong Civil 3D and AutoCAD skills
• Sound understanding of local council and authority requirements
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Australian permanent residency or unrestricted working rights
