Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering college or university.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Experience in preparing contract documents, specifications, and estimates.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO standards and their application to highway and site design.
  • Familiarity with FAA standards and advisory circulars.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with standard software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities:
Selected candidates shall represent Civil staff under the direction and supervision of a Principal Civil Engineer. They will primarily provide conceptual, permitting, and final design for highway/site rehabilitation projects, including utility and stormwater upgrades at the Authority’s facilities.

Consultant staff shall represent Civil Design in developing various stages of design, working closely with supervisors, other design disciplines, and other Engineering divisions. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide engineering design services conforming to applicable codes and standards, including AASHTO guidelines where relevant.
  • Develop studies and reports for various stages of work I–IV (conceptual, preliminary, final, and construction stages).
  • Prepare technical specifications and construction cost estimates.
  • Produce biddable and constructable contract drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Coordinate with all other Engineering disciplines, Project Principals, Materials, Construction
  • Management, Engineering Project Delivery, and Consultants to produce well-coordinated deliverables.
  • Audit design and contract document submittals from developers, design-builders, or others doing work on the Authority’s facilities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
