COENGR is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi team, specializing in the design, supervision, and execution of civil works for 132 kV substations. The successful candidate will ensure that all civil engineering aspects of the substation projects meet project specifications, international standards, and UAE authority requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in 132 kV substation civil works.
  • Strong knowledge of substation-related civil engineering requirements, including foundations, earthing systems, and cable routing.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and civil engineering design software.
  • Familiarity with UAE authority standards such as TRANSCO, ADDC, or DEWA.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and supervise civil works for 132 kV substation projects, including foundations, cable trenches, equipment supports, and associated infrastructure.
  • Review and approve civil drawings, calculations, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with electrical engineers, project managers, and contractors to align civil works with overall project schedules.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor quality, safety, and progress of civil construction works.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DEWA, TRANSCO, ADDC, or other authority standards for substation civil works.
  • Prepare technical reports, method statements, and quality control documentation.
  • Manage contractors, resolve site issues, and provide engineering solutions to maintain timelines and quality requirements.
  • Participate in project planning, cost estimation, and risk assessment related to civil works.
