POSITION OVERVIEW

We currently have a position available for a Civil Engineer I - Water/ Wastewater in our Kenosha, WI office. The selected candidate will assist with the planning, design and construction phase services for a wide variety of civil engineering projects with a focus on wastewater and potable water.

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, M.S. degree is preferred. EIT is desired.
  • Coursework and experience (internship or co-op) with emphasis on one or more of the following areas: wastewater treatment, water distribution, water treatment, or hydraulic modeling.
  • Ability to accurately perform calculations to support detailed design recommendations.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to write technical reports and actively participate in project meetings.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members from multiple offices.
  • Experience with AutoCAD (Civil3D), Revit, InfoWater, Biowin and/or GIS is desired.
  • Valid driver’s license is required

Responsibilities
  • Assists with the planning and design of upgrades and expansions for water/wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, sanitary sewers and water distribution systems.
  • Performs field data collection and condition assessments and provides on-site services during construction and startup.
  • Contributes to studies and reports on water and wastewater treatment processes and alternatives.
  • Applies engineering principals to develop solutions and evaluate performance and life cycle cost of municipal infrastructure improvements.
  • Creates drawings and models following the company’s design standards and utilizing the designated CAD or modeling software with limited guidance.
  • Assists with the preparation of technical reports, plans, specifications, and supporting documents.
