Clark Nexsen is seeking a Civil Engineer. Who will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of the Civil engineering portion of a project while working under the supervision and guidance of a licensed Civil Engineer. Typical responsibilities include tasks associated with designing land development projects. This person will work in stand-alone and multi-discipline design teams supervised by senior engineers and project managers on projects of all sizes. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification. General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following * Performing various aspects of Civil design as directed by a Senior Civil Engineer including conceptual studies, design analyses, calculations, site design for buildings or subdivisions, design for infrastructure projects, and design related to a business development activity such as a response to a Request for Proposal (RFP). * Preparation of programming documents, schematic documents, design development documents, and construction documents as directed * Coordination and communication with design team members to ensure the Civil design details integrate properly with the work of all other project disciplines * Preparation of marketing and presentation materials as directed * Performing Civil services associated with the bidding process, including preparing addenda and amendments and opening and tabulating bids as directed * Performing Civil services associated with the construction phase, including field visits, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing record drawings as directed * Complying with quality control policies and procedures * Learn and implement department and company standards * Develop analysis and design skills * Participating in team meetings and coordinating efforts with other team members * Working with, responding to, and taking direction from Senior Engineers, Project Managers and Design Managers * Working with a team of architects, engineers, interior designers and landscape architects Project responsibilities include but are not limited to the following * Perform tasks as directed by senior staff * Responsible for document organization and clarity * Responsible for discipline drawing coordination * Completing sections and details produced to a schematic-level of completion by the Engineer * Creating schematic-level site layout and grading plans for projects of low to moderate complexity * Creating schematic level roadway layout and grading plans * Development of manual calculations and analytical models for Civil analysis and design purposes * Participate in developing a model of the site design and utilities in Civil 3D on projects where modeling is a requirement * Assist with preparing LEED templates on projects where LEED certification is a requirement * Adhere to project budget and schedule
