Work Environment: - Hybrid (3 days/week in-office) - Locations: Lancaster or Mechanicaburg, PA Position Summary / What You’ll Do: As a Civil Engineer II in Transportation, you will support roadway and traffic design projects, collaborate with senior engineers and project managers, and help deliver effective solutions for municipal, state, and private clients. Responsibilities / Day-to-Day: - Develop roadway and traffic design plans using CAD and design software - Conduct technical analyses, reports, and calculations to support design efforts - Ensure compliance with PennDOT, AASHTO, and local design standards - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget - Support permitting, bidding, and construction phases with technical input - Contribute to client presentations and proposal development Qualifications: Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field - 2–5 years of relevant transportation/roadway design experience - EIT certification - Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, or AutoCAD Civil 3D - Familiarity with PennDOT standards and procedures Preferred: - PE license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain within 1–2 years) - Experience with traffic engineering studies and analyses - Strong written and verbal communication skills What We Offer: - Competitive Salary - Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits - 401(k) with company match - Paid time off, holidays, and flexible scheduling - Professional development opportunities and tuition reimbursement - Supportive, collaborative culture focused on growth and innovation RETTEW is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
