  • Must have good driving record, and valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering and successful completion of the EIT exam or the ability to take the EIT exam within six months of starting preferred.
  • Related Co-op/Internship experience preferred for new graduates; 1-2 years of related civil engineering experience for more experienced engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform civil design and technical tasks on projects under the supervision of the Project Manager or Project Engineer. Tasks may include but are not limited to; site design and layout; code review; planning and land use entitlement process; AHJ coordination; grading design; drainage design; utility design; erosion and sediment control; specifications; and creation of project details.
  • Performs civil design tasks using knowledge of relevant software programs.
  • Works with other engineering disciplines, professionals, and project partners in the completion of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/ designer or project coordinator.
  • Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/supervisor.
  • Performs calculations to analyze and design civil site design components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
  • Assists with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
  • Assists with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions.
  • Assists in basic interpretation and verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
  • Performs a variety of tasks which may include analyzing proposed project solutions to ensure design integrity, reliability, resource efficiently and cost effectiveness.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and written, with project team members, clients, and contractors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
