As part of the Civil Water and Resources team, this role covers a broad range of skills relating to civil infrastructure. In particular, the focus of the Civil Engineer is to undertake design and consulting services within the Civil Engineering discipline in order to enhance the team’s portfolio of skills and expertise. You will also get the opportunity to work on a variety of Energy, Water, Land Development, Rail and Industrial projects

Responsibilities

IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A minimum of 3 years (post-tertiary education) of relevant experience in Civil Engineering, with a focus on designing roads, utilities, and paving elements in a consulting business environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience delivering land development projects from pre-concept design to the site phase for clients such as Local
  • Government Authorities and/or Private Developers.
  • Preferably, 1 year of on-site experience during construction phases.
  • Proficiency in highway, paving, and reinstatement design; utility, drainage, and sewer works design; authority submissions; and tender and construction drawing preparation.
  • The ability to deliver high-quality design, technical documentation, and cost estimates while meeting deadlines and budgets.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide design expertise across the project lifecycle, from Master Plan and Feasibility Stages through Concept, Preliminary, and Detailed Design, and offer support during construction phases.
  • Contribute to small- and medium-sized projects, while serving as a key team member for larger projects. Your responsibilities will include design, technical documentation, cost estimation, tender preparation, project scheduling, and meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Be responsible for meeting project deadlines, monitoring budgets, managing resources, and controlling expenditure to achieve financial targets.
  • Support the growth of Arup’s Energy, Water, and Resources Infrastructure capability in Singapore.
