Purpose of the role The candidate for this role will be responsible to plan, design, and oversee construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards Responsibilities · Plan, design, and supervise civil engineering projects such as roads, buildings, drainage systems, and other infrastructure works. · Prepare and review technical drawings, designs, and specifications. · Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project requirements. · Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. · Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. · Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements. · Identify and resolve engineering and construction challenges on-site. · Review and certify work done by contractors, including measurements and progress reports. · Prepare project documentation, reports, and updates for management. · Support procurement processes by reviewing technical specifications and evaluating bids. Qualifications & Experience · Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field · Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects · Professional registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) or relevant authority is an added advantage. · Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction practices · Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related tools · Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications · Strong project management and organizational skills · Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
