Civil Engineer - OCONUS Durban, South Africa Exp Federal is an established full-service architectural and engineering firm that provides a full range of design solutions and construction support to the federal government. The Challenge: Exp Federal is accepting applications for exciting career opportunities overseas in conjunction with a contract supporting the U.S. Department of State. This position is on site in Durban, South Africa. Principle Areas of Responsibility: * Understand, the layout, and size of fundamental systems: storm, sanitary, vent, water, and gas. * Review contractor submittals against specifications and respond to contractor Request for Information (RFIs). * Develop independent cost estimates both for the government as well as for internal proposal purposes. * Understand the scope of SD, DD, and CD level documents and be able to prepare and deliver drawings at the appropriate level Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s in engineering from an accredited American university or Professional Engineering License * 7+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry * Active Security Clearance from the US Federal Government. Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance Salary Range: This position has an annual range of $110,000.00 To $150,000.00. The actual hourly is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Responsibilities

The Civil Engineer will manage the layout and design of fundamental utility systems and review contractor submittals against project specifications. They are also responsible for developing independent cost estimates and preparing technical drawings for government projects.
