Job Description:


As a Civil Engineer at Quantum Civil, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects from pre-construction / estimation phase to completion. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals and be responsible for ensuring that projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance with relevant regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


- Estimation: Assist in quantity take-off, procuring quotations and preparation of BOQs for tender submissions.


- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest construction standards are met.


- Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage project expenses.


- Team Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.


- Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and progress reports.

· Preparing, interpreting, and updating detailed civil and structural engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation for a range of development and construction projects.


· Coordinating site measurements, engineering data, and material specifications to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved plans and technical requirements.


· Monitoring construction activities and conducting site inspections to verify workmanship, structural integrity, and compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.


· Analysing project information, calculations, and design details to identify potential construction issues and recommend practical engineering solutions.


· Managing project documentation, engineering records, technical reports, and revision schedules to maintain accurate and up-to-date project information.


· Liaising directly with builders, subcontractors, architects, surveyors, and consultants to coordinate project activities and resolve technical matters during construction phases.


· Assisting with the preparation of engineering costings, quantity estimates, procurement requirements, and project timelines to support operational efficiency.


· Reviewing construction materials, fabrication details, and installation methods to ensure compliance with Australian standards, safety requirements, and engineering specifications.


· Operating engineering and drafting software to develop plans, update project designs, and maintain technical accuracy across multiple projects simultaneously.


· Participating in project planning meetings and contributing technical input relating to construction methodologies, structural components, and site-related engineering matters.
