We are looking for a Civil Engineer – Roadway Project Manager, with experience in Illinois Department of Transportation projects to support our CDI mission in Building Stronger Communities. By designing municipal roadway and highway projects, you will be supporting our mission and developing a better tomorrow. Key Responsibilities: Managing transportation engineering projects by creating scope and budgets, directing the design and coordinating work with other staff and design team members Signing/sealing work as required Serving as a key point of contact with clients, contractors, and local officials Design and plan production for municipal roadways, interstate highways, intersections, interchanges, ADA compliant sidewalks and multi-use facilities Provide roadway design elements including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, intersection layout, drainage design, pedestrian facility design, utilities conflict and relocations, as well as other roadway design tasks Work collaboratively with CDI Service Leaders, Project Engineers, and other team members to develop effective project solutions Displaying an eagerness to work on a wide variety of project types Ensuring compliance with CDI’s safety and QA/QC procedures Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Being able to lead a project that includes collaboration with the team, as well as managing tasks and being responsive to client needs Strong technical skills in transportation engineering and roadway design Project management experience with Illinois Department of Transportation projects Highly proficient with roadway design software; MicroStation/Open Roads Designer (ORD) Experience with Highway/Roadway Design and Plan Production Ability to work effectively in a team environment while possessing strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Positive attitude Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a four-year college or university Registered PE 5 –15 plus years’ experience This role can be based out of Collinsville, IL, Effingham, IL, or St. Louis, MO.
