Job Description:
- Providing project management, feasibility studies, concept design, detailed design, design criteria reports, and technical reports of a wide variety of projects including smaller and larger scale civil and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Preparing and finalizing studies, designs, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents.
- Participation in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, business development and preparation of proposals.
- Providing site inspection and contract administration services for infrastructure-related projects.
- Completing assignments with minimal guidance from Senior Engineers.
- Coordinating and liaising with Project Teams, Clients, Contractors, and Subconsultants on projects.
- Preparing contract documents and construction drawings.
- Delivering projects on budget and within identified schedules.
- Assisting with writing proposals to procure new projects.
Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Registered, or approaching registration, as a Professional Engineer with PEO.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in designing municipal infrastructure is essential.
- Experience of designing infrastructure projects in Ontario, is an asset.
- Proven integrity to deal with sensitive, privileged and confidential employee or Client matters.
- Proven ability to liaise and manage Clients, Contractors, and other Consultants’ relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Results oriented and ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated prioritization, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to liaise effectively and clearly.
- Proficient in use of MS Office Suite of products including collaborative software such as OneNote and SharePoint.
- Valid driver’s license is an asset.
- Ability to travel within Canada.
