Description:

Job Description:

  • Providing project management, feasibility studies, concept design, detailed design, design criteria reports, and technical reports of a wide variety of projects including smaller and larger scale civil and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Preparing and finalizing studies, designs, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents.
  • Participation in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, business development and preparation of proposals.
  • Providing site inspection and contract administration services for infrastructure-related projects.
  • Completing assignments with minimal guidance from Senior Engineers.
  • Coordinating and liaising with Project Teams, Clients, Contractors, and Subconsultants on projects.
  • Preparing contract documents and construction drawings.
  • Delivering projects on budget and within identified schedules.
  • Assisting with writing proposals to procure new projects.

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Registered, or approaching registration, as a Professional Engineer with PEO.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in designing municipal infrastructure is essential.
  • Experience of designing infrastructure projects in Ontario, is an asset.
  • Proven integrity to deal with sensitive, privileged and confidential employee or Client matters.
  • Proven ability to liaise and manage Clients, Contractors, and other Consultants’ relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Results oriented and ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated prioritization, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise effectively and clearly.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office Suite of products including collaborative software such as OneNote and SharePoint.
  • Valid driver’s license is an asset.
  • Ability to travel within Canada.
