We are looking for a Civil Engineer- Structural (Bridge) to support our CDI mission in Building Stronger Communities. Key Responsibilities: Analyzing and designing transportation-related structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structure foundations. Prepare reports, studies, plans, specifications, and estimates. Displaying an eagerness to work on a wide variety of project types. Working collaboratively with the CDI Service Leader, Project Engineers, and other team members to develop effective solutions. Ability to conduct field inspection visits while ensuring compliance with CDI’s safety procedures. Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Department of Transportation structures experience (bridges and walls) IDOT preferred. Proficient with structural analysis and design software preferred Ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, and/or OpenRoads. Education and Experience · Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. · Engineer Intern (EI) Licensure · 0 -5 years’ experience. This role is in-person and based out of the Effingham, IL office. The travel expected is up to 10%.
