CIVIL ENGINEER (TEMPORARY) REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.S. in Civil , Geologic, or Construction Engineering required. Other degrees will not be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience in civil engineering is preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend civil design drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite .

CIVIL ENGINEER (TEMPORARY) JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our team and provide levee inspection services as part of our contract to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Levee Safety Program. Work tasks will include:

  • Conducting field inspections of levee systems in accordance with USACE guidelines and procedures.
  • Evaluating structural integrity, maintenance practices, vegetation management, encroachments, and overall system performance.
  • Preparing inspection reports, documenting findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with USACE staff, local sponsors, and stakeholders during inspection and reporting processes.

This is a contract (temporary) position that will last 6-8 months. 3-4 weeks of out-of-town field time is anticipated during that period.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
